This type of traditional plate has elegant name - 'tsubaki-zara' ( Camellia Plate). We don't know why, but long foot round plate has this fantastic name.
This tsubaki zara is made of zelkova, and center part is coated with vermillion urushi. Zelkova grains, rokuro(wheel) lines and urushi coats are all exceptionally beautiful.

Signiture of Watanabe san is painted in the bottom.
