| This is a Japanese traditional small scissors, 'nigiri-basami'. We Japanese have used this kind of scissors for sewing work from Edo Priod( 1603-1867). *This type is slightly angled so it is very handy to cut threads and fabrics in fine part. It is made with elaborate 40 hand work processes. It has excellent edge, and has also very convenient form. Thumb and forefinger can be used with holding it, and it is very convenient for sewing and embroidery. Fujiwara san recommends this type most strongly. |
