"We are planning and making new products for you. Please help and
give advice to us!"
I visited Kiyohara Orimono corp, and we are plannning and making new products
with using tsume-tsuzure technique. Tsume-tsuzure weave is one of the most
elaborate and gorgeous silk fabric in the world. We are going to make supreme
formal bags with tsuzure weave silk.
Kiyohara weaving company is making mainly obi and fukusa with tsume tsuzure
weave technique. They are very valuable and expensive for its elaborate
and expert techniques, and for example tsume-tsuzure obi costs around a
million yen.
We hope to offer this supreme fabric as the material for formal purse.
This project must be the first trial by traditional tsume-tsuzure weave
company. Before we visted them, they thought their product could be sold
only in Japan, and never thought to make and sell products for freign customers.
But we need your help and idea. We are plannning to make formal bags with
this fabric. Size will be approx 20cm(7.9in) x 10cm(3.9in), and a tassel
and a cord ( as handle, which can be put in) are added. We will put most
high-end tassel, which is made by famous tassel company in Kyoto. Background
color will be black, and white/silver blend fabric is also considered.
