| Biography |
|
- Born in Kyoto in 1947 . After graduated high school, .became pupil of yuzen
dyer Housen Kawakami.
- In 1975, got established as an yuzen dyer.
- From 1990, began studying to restore and re-create the textile of early
modern times ( Edo Period and Azuchi-Momoyama Period).
- In 1992, invited to The Exhibited ' This Person, This Work' (Kono hito,
kono sakuhin ten) .
- In 1999, participated in the research of the dyeing of Thai & Laos,
which was sponsored by UNESCO as the masters of Southeast Asia project
.
- In 2000, participated in the forum of the masters of Southeast Asia project.
- In 2001, invited to W.E.F.T forum in Malaysia.
- Lots of lectures about natural and ancient dyeing at Daimaru Department
Store and other places.
