"Edo Yuzen Dyeing"

Takahashi san is the yuzen dyer in Kyoto, and a famous student of ancient dyeing.
To making our shawls, he only used natural dyestuffs, which are the same as Edo Period( 1603-1867) ,and used same technique at that age.

To avoid dyestuff bleeding, he draws outlines with 'nori'( starch paste ), and dyes at a breath with brush. Silk textile is stretches with bamboo bars, and he draws on the small heater to dry the dyestuff.
